Sancho after signing the deal with Ole

Jadon Sancho deal and highlights of the contract:-

Manchester United has officially announced Jadon Sancho as their new signing and this deal was way exciting than we would have expected it to be. It was filled with drama and acts of pursuance like no other. So, the story goes like this that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and his entire recruitment team had shown keen interest in signing Sancho since February 2020 and wanted to publicize him as their summer recruit of 2020. As the COVID-19 pandemic came the negotiation talks which had been at peak till April 2020 went downhill when Jadon Sancho became tired and took a step back as United’s initial offer was 80 million Euros but Dortmund wanted 140 million Euros in this deal. The transfer market closed and we saw Sancho put out a dazzling performance throughout the season for Borussia but the Red Devils did not take a step back as they kept full contact with the player and eventually he was intimidated enough to move to the Theatre of Dreams at the end of his EURO 2020 campaign. To much relief of the United fans his transfer deal was confirmed within the duration of the European Championship and today Machester United sealed the deal with him as he signed for 85 million Euros plus 5 million Euros as his agent’s fees. This deal will keep him at the Old Trafford till 2026. Let’s hope that he has a successful season as in terms of his contract he will receive a bonus if United manages to win the Premier League or Champions League.

Tottenham confirms the signing of Atalanta goalkeeper Pierluigi Gollini:-

Fabio Paratici’s first act as Tottenham Hotspur’s football director came yesterday as Tottenham reached a deal with Atalanta B.C. when they declared the signing of Pierluigi Gollini on loan for a year. The 26-year-old Italian international returns to England for his second stint after he left Aston Villa to join Atalanta on loan and then spent 3 seasons with the Italian club before agreeing a move to Tottenham on a season-long contract of 15 million Euro and according to the agreement if he earns 20 caps for Tottenham this season then there is a contract extension clause which will allow him to sign a permanent deal with the London club.

Gollini told Sky in Italy: “I am very happy. It is very difficult to leave my second home. I thank Bergamo [where Atalanta plays] and the fans. I felt very loved and what we did will remain in history.

“I am grateful to Tottenham for this opportunity, I can’t wait to start. The possibility of staying in Italy was there but Tottenham was the best opportunity.”

He also showed his excitement to play alongside Hugo Lloris and we can only imagine the level of competition these two players will share this season. There is also the fact that who fits into Nuno Espirito’s system of play and time can only tell how great this fiasco is going to turn out.

Tottenham has also reached the negotiation of the swap deal between Erik Lamela and Bryan Gil from Sevilla and the terms are still not confirmed yet but the price tag concludes that Tottenham is going to pay 25 million Euros plus Erik Lamela for the 20-year-old Spanish winger. The deal will be confirmed after the Olympics as Bryan is part of the Spanish contingent in Tokyo and will be free to sign the deal only after the completion of the event.

Harry Kane conundrum:-

The English Skipper is poised for a 160 million pound transfer to Manchester City but both City officials as well as Daniel Levy, Tottenham President are denying all contacts whatsoever about the Kane situation. Kane has three years left in his contract with Tottenham and the London-based club who are reorganizing their team this year under the guidance of their new coach are not ready to let the England captain leave. After they rejected Manchester City’s 100 million pound bid a month ago they are adamant in the face on the final exorbitant bid from the reigning Premier League champions. City, on the other hand, is yearning to sign Kane keeping in mind his brilliant partnership with Jack Grealish whom they intend to sign from Aston Villa this season. Pep Guardiola is looking to reload his arsenal with new snipers for a more fresh and attacking forward line.

Raphael Varane situation:-

Manchester United’s latest target is Raphael Varane and as mentioned in the previous article the French center-back is eager to join the Red Devils as early as possible. But he is still waiting for Real Madrid to open talks respecting his current contract and he showed up for training at the Valdebebas yesterday. Although his intentions are clear for joining United there has still not been any kind of official contact between the two clubs. Let’s see how this deal unfolds.

That’s all for today. See you all soon with all the latest updates and till then stay safe!
